Maintaining Your Invisible Edge

By | Blog | No Comments

Listening to your intuition benefits you tremendously in two different ways: it allows you read-out what’s happening in real-time in your environment, as well as anticipating the future.

Developing the intuitive skill to read-out what happening in your environment in real time allows you to:

  • Better understand the underlying needs of your customer
  • Detect when something feels “off” in your workspace
  • Sense when a sales pitch is going flat and you are losing your audience
  • Act on a signal when something doesn’t look right on a spreadsheet or data set
  • Knowing how to get the most out of each team member and detecting early warning signs of disengagement
  • And much more…

Developing intuitive skills to anticipate the future allows you to:

  • Lead in your industry
  • Stay a step ahead of the marketplace as you intuit trends in your space
  • Improve forecasting tools
  • Create better strategy
  • Build better products and services
  • Continue to exceed customer expectations
  • And much more…

These are some of the outcomes that we help our clients achieve and Invisible Edge™ through advancing intuitive intelligence in company cultures for smarter and more effective decision making.

Decisive Intuition: The Catalyst for Invisible Edge

By | Blog, Decisive Intuition | No Comments

There I was wrapping up the last chapter of my book, Decisive Intuition, when it dawned on me. I finally saw how I could teach intuitive skill-building to leaders and teams in a practical and grounded way that improves results from decision making to strategy, and from team engagement and sales to innovation.

I had found a niche that I’m passionate about, that combines the latest research in neurobiology, psychology, and my teams’ collective years of business acumen and experience to develop the most cutting-edge programs that help people get to their invisible edge in business and in life.

The fact is that the subconscious mind processes information 500,000 times faster than the conscious mind. Not only do we make faster decisions, we also make better decisions when we access our subconscious mind.

Some approaches label this as a ‘flow state’ when top performers and entertainers enter ‘the zone’ where they are at peak performance.

At Invisible Edge™, we’ve developed approaches and techniques to help you access your subconscious mind for faster and better decision making individually and with teams.

And it all started with the core principles of my book, Decisive Intuition, which guides you, the reader, on how to access your intuitive intelligence for better decisions and results.

Here’s what John Perkins, bestselling author of Confessions of an Economic Hitmanand other books has to say:

“The war cry of business, ‘maximize short-term profits,’ is based on non-intuitive, quantifiable data and is contrary to hundreds of thousands of years of human experience. It has driven us to the brink of environmental disaster — and social irresponsibility. Snyder does a masterful job in showing us how to develop and utilize our intuition for greater creativity, innovation, and a form of leadership that can guide us back from that brink.”

I’m excited to share this work with you. Stay tuned next week for a surprise!

Best Regards,

Invisible Edge: How Did We Get Here?

By | Blog | No Comments

Intuition is a paradox. One one hand, it seems very elusive. We can’t touch it, taste it, see it, or smell it, but we all know when we’ve had that gut sense when something feels ‘right on’ or ‘off the mark,’ no matter what our logical mind might tell us, in a way that we can’t explain.

Sometimes we just inherently know something to be true in our bones. It’s unshakeable. And when we don’t listen to these inner messages, we often pay a price. Think about a moment in your business or in your life, when you got a clear signal about a decision to make, and you ignored or glossed over it. What was the outcome?

What if there was a way to learn how to better recognize your inner wisdom through your own unique signals and cues that informed your decision making? What if you learned how to separate strong emotions like fear or over-excitement, doubt, or the loud voices and agendas of others so that you can tune into what your own inner data is telling you?

Invisible Edge™ started because everyone on our team has had these moments, and recognize how little intuitive intelligence is developed, let alone discussed, in the boardrooms and hallways of businesses around the world.

And yet we have also experienced how deeply fulfilling and impactfully rich it is when we have learned to trust ourselves in our ability to navigate this noisy world more skillfully through tuning into our inner guidance at key moments, that changes the course of a business or a life.

Intuition University

By | Blog | No Comments

As Three Hats makes the transition to Invisible Edge™, we are moving from general business development to focusing on how to build intuitive intelligence for greater decision making, leadership, and innovation.

We are specializing in the corporate sector as well as entrepreneurs and startups.

And while we never set out to create an online university, the best part of tuning into one’s intuition is making space for innovative ideas that don’t seem to follow a linear path in the moment. This is what is meant by “outside-the-box thinking” and we realize how critical this is for innovation and growth.

If you don’t evolve and innovate, you become stagnant and irrelevant. If you do an honest assessment of yourselves or your competition, you will see various stages of growth and complacency, and results that match.

What’s become more clear in the business space is that HR leaders are recognizing the convenience and value of distance learning. So we heard the feedback and have developed the first online Intuitive Training for the business space at Intuition University.

It is both practical and implementable as you will be guided and challenged to develop and apply your own intuitive skills and that of your team, for greater engagement, productivity, and innovation.

Intuition University will be up and running by year’s end. For a preview of what’s to come, check out our Welcome Video!

And stay-tuned for next week’s public launch of our new website at Invisible Edge™!

Thanks for being with us on this journey and reach out at if you have any questions about developing the intuitive skills of your leaders and teams for greater decision making and innovation.

What is Intuitive Intelligence?

By | Blog | No Comments

23 years ago, Daniel Goleman’s book, Emotional Intelligence came out on shelves, and revolutionized the business world.

While at first there was resistance to developing ‘soft skills,’ cultivating emotional intelligence on your team is now seen as a no-brainer as it results in greater engagement, productivity, and success in relationships across your business.

There is a new wave of intelligence that’s rising that involves developing our refined skills as leaders, managers, and effective communicators. And this next wave is called intuitive intelligence.

Intuitive intelligence is the ability to access our subconscious mind for faster and more integrated decision making.

Businesses that harness intuition have an invisible edge over those that don’t. The challenge is in guiding staff to use their intuition in a way that’s relevant to your business.

Fifteen years of working with leaders across every industry have shown me that those who rely on intuition to inform their decision making are exceptional at cultivating a culture of adaptiveness and agility.

The result? Innovation thrives. Creativity blossoms. Teams readily overcome challenges that might otherwise leave them fumbling.

Check out this video to learn more about Intuitive Intelligence and how you and your team benefit from developing this skill in your company culture.

The Invisible Edge

By | Blog | No Comments

As mentioned in last week’s blog, we are transitioning Three Hats into a whole new business venture that is focusing on developing Intuitive Intelligence for leaders and teams.

This transition of this new direction and inspired purpose dawned on me in writing the last chapter of my book, Decisive Intuition.

What got clear is that I’m inspired to help people gain the confidence to listen to, trust, and act on their inner guidance in their business and in their lives. I know for myself the benefits of when I make decisions from this place, and the consequences of when I don’t.

We all have access to a deeper source of intelligence that we often ignore or disregard throughout the day. Especially when we feel stress, pressure, or are overly-influenced by the data and analytics outside of us, or the louder voices in the room.

You know what I’m talking about. Those moments when you look back and you knew that you should have listened to that feeling or message that you received and disregarded. In fact you might still be kicking yourself for not doing just that.

Well what if you can learn to identify your intuitive signals and cues earlier on and include them in your decision-making process for more creativity, innovation, and impact?

That’s what our new company, Invisible Edge™ is about.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be unveiling our new website and some of the new services and programs that give companies and organizations an invisible edge over their competition, as they learn to integrate their inner wisdom with the best of their data and analytics.

Excited to share this unfolding journey with you,

Three Hats Transition

By | Blog | No Comments

Business, just like life, is dynamic and all about transitions.

And we can choose to go with the flow or resist them. And each side has its own benefits and drawbacks.

When we live from our highest values, we might notice over time that we feel drawn to new orientations to our work, social life, career paths, life style choices, and getting even more clear about what’s important to us.

And when we are in alignment with our highest values, we have more meaning, growth, and a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

One of the transitions that I’ve been inside of for a year or more is with Three Hats. We have been coaching businesses since 2011 and have thoroughly grown with and enjoyed working with so many incredible leaders and teams over the years globally.

People, like you, who are trying to bring their best forward every day, deal with all of the challenges that come along with the journey, and provide and amazing life for yourselves and families.

There has been a birth of new expression and orientation to business and business growth that feels fresh, bold, and timely, that I’m excited to announce in the course of this next month.

Teaser: there is a new company name, look and feel, team, and most importantly, mission, that we’ll be shortly announcing, that’s centered around developing intuitive intelligence for leaders and teams in the business space.

One of my dreams is to help business leaders and cultures improve their decision making, leadership and innovation through learning to integrate the best of their inner wisdom with the data and analytics at-hand for even better decisions that are in alignment with our highest values. And this is the first step.

And it starts with the announcement that my upcoming book, Decisive Intuition, is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble for pre-orders!

It would mean a lot to me if you checked this out, read the description, and if our material interests you, to support this movement through placing your order today!

Thank you for being part of our community and we look forward to bringing you along with us to the next destination of personal fulfillment and business intelligence.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks to learn more about what’s next.

To your success and fulfillment,

Rick Snyder

Facilitating Innovation With Teams Part 4: Disrupting Routine

By | Blog | No Comments

Over these four weeks, we are covering a four-step process on how to inspire your team to think outside the box and contribute to your goals from their intuitive intelligence, resulting in more creativity and innovation. Part 1 we looked at how Leaders Go First. Part 2 focused on building Safety and Trust within your company culture. Part 3 involved encouraging intuitive thinking. Today we focus on disrupting routine and normal ways of thinking.

Interrupting typical patterns of thinking and helping your team get out of their heads is an effective way to bring intuition into your company culture. If you keep finding yourself stuck or stagnant on the same problem and see no way around it, disrupt your typical routine or mode of thinking or that of your team’s.

This is where getting outside, stepping away from the computer, engaging in a physical exercise or mindfulness practice can be so helpful to change your brain states and get into more of a flow state where you can access your subconscious creativity and intuition.

Steven Kotler and Jamie Wheal, the founders of the Flow Genome Project, have dedicated themselves to this research and define flow as “optimal states of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.” It’s when performers and high achievers describe being “in the zone,” where they are so focused in the moment and the task at-hand, that everything else disappears in the background.

Play is a key disruptor and one that is often lacking in the business context. We accept the value of play as children, but we don’t often appreciate how vital this is to business and decision making as adults, in sparking the creativity, joy, and ingenuity of staff.

One business I’ve worked with brings in improv classes as an option for learning how to intuit the moment and play off of other people in social dynamics. Translating improv classes into business has tremendous upside.

In fact, Chicago’s famous Second City improv troupe has expanded to lead corporate trainings. Business schools at such universities like Duke and Stanford are including improv classes in their curriculum to help future leaders cope with a rapidly changing environment.

They have noticed that their staff leave these classes feeling more confident, think faster, embrace failure more easily, increase awareness, improve listening skills, and learn how to read-out social dynamics and cues which has directly related to their role in the company. By breaking up routine patterns and modes of thinking, you are creating space for individual and collective intuition and genius to flourish. Now let’s look at how to assess the level of intuitive intelligence within your organization and how to make your company culture smarter.

So whether it’s taking your team out of the office for an ‘off-site’ or finding other creative ways to step away from the computer and change up the environment through movement or stillness, disrupting normal ways of thinking allow your team to get out of their conscious mind and into their subconscious, which is the birthplace of creativity and intuition, and allows your team to make faster and more holistic decisions.
